Elite Kumite Squad
Click here for the Elite Kata Squad
This page is dedicated to the Imperial Karate Club Elite Squad. The Elite Squad was set up in 2004 to focus on the development of a small number of our top level club fighters. Our aim is:-
1. To build experience and ability by providing additional high intensity dedicated training sessions.
2. To Provide a progression through the AMA National Squad onto the Southern England Squad and eventually aim for the Karate England Squad.
3. To enter high level National and International tournaments to gain valuable experience.
The Imperial Elite Squad entry is by invitation only after proving yourself worthy in competition. You must be Brown or Black Belt, to be part of the AMA National Squad and to train the extra sessions on weekends as well as your two basic sessions in the week.
Some success to date. Full profiles of current Elite Squad members to come.click here for BBC coverage of Sweden 2006
