Beginners

We realise that starting Karate can be quite a challenge, that's why here at Imperial we have seperate beginners classes for both Junior and Senior students on Tuesday and Friday nights. Beginners of all ages are welcome to join at any time, come along and watch the class so you can see what is involved. You will be given a starter pack that will explain about the club and the training. There is no membership or joining fee although you will be required to take out an annual licence (£15 Imps, £15 junior and £20 senior) for insurance perposes. We train in bare feet and to start with just wear jog bottoms and a plain white T-shirt, no football tops, jeans or jewelry are allowed. All students should aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before the lesson starts.

Training fees per session are:-

£3.00 Imps Class (4-7 yrs)

£3.50 for Junior Karate under 16 yrs.

£4.00 for Senior Karate 16 yrs+

Imperial Karate Club are part of a national non-profit making association called the AMA. All instructors are registered, fully insured and hold current First Aid qualifications.

We teach our students using a philosophy of positive reinforcement to build Self-Esteem, Confidence, Discipline, Positive Attitude, and Values. At Imperial Karate we realize that although the ability to defend oneself is important, there are many additional benefits to be gained from a martial arts program.

We teach Traditional Karate along side Sport Karate to satisfy all students requirements. Training with Imperial Karate Club will improve your performance in other sports as well as improving study habit and increasing overall concentration. In addition to this, by building self confidence, self respect, and self discipline, we are helping young people to deal with the many problems they face growing up in today's world, including drugs, peer pressure and gangs.
